Free Domain Expiry Checker Tool

Run a domain expiration lookup on up to 10 names — see domain expiry dates, expiry date, and days until expiry — from public WHOIS and RDAP records.

Enter each domain without https:// or paths. Dates come from public RDAP; some TLDs hide domain name expiry, the domain expiration date, or the expiration date of your domain.

Up to 10 domains per run · 1 job at a time · 10 checks per day.

How to check when domains expire

Review expiry details on your shortlist: paste names, scan the table, then open a card for the full breakdown.

  1. Paste domain names into the form — one per line (e.g. example.com). Up to 10 per check.
  2. Click Check Expiry. The counter shows how many valid names are in your list.
  3. Compare status, creation date, last updated date, and days left in the Results overview table.
  4. Click a name to open its Detailed breakdown card.
  5. Use Copy below the table to export with column headers.

What you get

  • Summary table — status and key dates for quick comparison.
  • Detailed domain cards — per-domain expiry breakdown on the same page.
  • Excel-ready export — one-click copy for spreadsheets and renewal tracking.

Domain Expiry Explained

Domain registration marks an early stage in the domain lifecycle. Tracking domain validity helps protect your portfolio. We read public RDAP, pulling registration details from WHOIS databases where the registry publishes them.

Expiry date

Some responses label the same timestamp as an expiry date. We surface whichever field is available so you can see when a domain name expires.

Domain status

When a domain is registered, it shows as Registered. After the term, a domain becomes available to new owners following grace and redemption periods and an optional redemption period.

Registrar and renewal

Your domain registrar handles billing and domain management. Confirm renewal pricing in your panel — many TLDs offer a grace period after the term ends.

Plan to renew the domain early; downtime can affect search rankings.

WHOIS data sources

Our WHOIS lookup tool queries WHOIS records and merges RDAP fields when one source is incomplete.

Expired domains

Track days after expiry — watch the domain's expiry window before an expired domain returns after redemption.

Monitoring at scale

Full domain expiration monitoring with alerts lives in the Karma.Domains app — this page covers quick reviews.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a domain expiration checker?

It shows when registered names are set to expire, plus creation and update dates from public records. Up to 10 domains per run, no signup.

Where does the data come from?

We read public RDAP responses and merge dates when one source is incomplete.

Why is the expiry date missing for some TLDs?

Some zones do not publish domain expiration in public data. Confirm your domain's expiration in the registrar panel when fields are blank.

What happens when a domain expires?

Owners may still renew during a grace period. Uncollected names can move to backorder or open registration.

How many names can I check?

Up to 10 domain names per run. Duplicates are removed automatically.

Are there usage limits?

Up to 10 domains per run, one check at a time, 10 checks per day per IP.

Do you show nameserver or network data?

Full records can include IP address fields alongside nameservers. We highlight status and days left for renewal tracking.

Is this the same as the domain age tool?

No. Our domain age tool measures Wayback history. This page focuses on registration dates and expiry.

Is this free?

Yes — a free tool with no signup. Open Karma.Domains for Karma Score and 90+ filters.
